 Plant a Garden!

The Young Farmers Initiative is a hands-on working/learning experience designed to engage people aged 16 to 21 in the world of gardening and farming. Each Saturday morning, we will explore an exciting topic and dig into an activity related to gardening, growing and/or farming. This program will be taught by Judiann Carmack-Fayyaz.

Some exciting examples of workdays include:

Building a vertical garden!
Seed sowing and farm to table
Pollinator gardens
Building and planting raised beds
Tool use in the garden
Greenhouse Management
Growing flowers and flower arranging
Building and planting gardens
Experimenting with plant nutrient delivery.
