Session 1: Introduction to Plant Science
- Overview of plant science
- Basics of plant classification
- Plant kingdom and binomial nomenclature
- Practical exercises in Plant Propagation: Seeding
Session 2: Botany: Plant Parts and Functions and Propagation Techniques
- Plant Anatomy: Functions of stems, leaves, buds, roots, flowers, fruit, and seeds
- Overview of sexual and asexual propagation
- Detailed study of seed germination
- Practical hands-on exercises on propagation methods
Session 3: Physiology: Plant Growth and Development
- Environmental factors affecting plant growth
- Processes of photosynthesis, respiration, and transpiration
- Light, temperature, water, and nutrition in plant development
- Practical plant exercises in greenhouse
Session 4: Propagation Techniques
- Practical hands-on exercises on propagation methods; seeding and cuttings
