Description: The CALS organizes their faculty into 15 academic departments and 2 schools. Undergraduate students can choose from 22 majors and 30 minors, allowing great diversity on their educational pathes. There are graduate level studies available as well in advanced degree programs. The CALS is devoted to teach, analyze and apply knowledge with public purpose in areas of Food & Energy Systems, Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences and Life Sciences. It hosts several outreach and extension programs including Cornell University Agricultural Experiment Station (CUAES), New York State Agricultural Experiment Station (NYSAES), and Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE). It offers National Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) Program aiming to reduce microbial risks in fruits and vegetables by providing support to growers and packers.
